The majority of our clients in the civil and non-residential building sectors are commissionees, including contractors, installers, architects, consulting engineers and project management agencies.

These parties are involved in designing, constructing and renovating all kinds of structures, including schools, hospitals, museums, DIY stores, car parks, shopping centres and low-rise and high-rise buildings (offices and apartments).

The disputes we deal with concern specification interpretations, charging for contract variations, additional payments, interruptions and damage due to delay and penalty and discount arrangements, bank guarantees, design or execution errors, CAR or AVB insurance, hidden defects and guarantees.

If necessary we initiate legal proceedings with the arbitrators at the Board of Arbitration for the Construction Industry (Raad van Arbitrage voor de Bouw, RvA), the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (Nederlands Arbitrage Instituut, NAI), the Architectural Arbitration Institute (Stichting Arbitrage Instituut Bouwkunst, AIBk), the Arbitration Board for the Metalworking Industry and Trade (Stichting Raad van Arbitrage voor de Metaalnijverheid en – Handel) and the ordinary courts. Disputes are also resolved through mediation or binding opinions.
